Yes, this really is a full-scale, driveable Bugatti Chiron built out of Lego Technic pieces. The life-size model is made of more than 1 million pieces, including 2,304 electric motors and 4,032 gear wheels. Lego's version of the Chiron weighs in at 3,306 pounds, about a thousand pounds lighter than the real road-going supercar. But it isn't quite as fast. The Lego Chiron's electric motors manage to make 5.3 hp — just enough to get the car moving. Top speed is 12 mph.
A toy car with street cred
Still, it's quite a sight. Lego designers at the toymaker's facility in Kladno, Czech Republic, tried to make its version look as close as possible to the real thing, investing over 13,000 work hours in the project over 19 months.
