"It's a mess, clearly, as you can see," Adam Solomon, sales manager at Route 46 Auto Group, told News12. "We are just assessing the damage, seeing how far the extent goes."
Route 46 Auto Group, of Totowa, N.J., has five stores in New Jersey.
A flash flood watch is to remain in effect through the night in New Jersey, including Bergen, Essex, Passaic, Union and Hudson counties, according to the National Weather Service.
Heavy rainfall over the weekend has left the area susceptible to flash flooding, the weather service said.
"A moisture laden air mass will allow for any showers and thunderstorms that develop to produce torrential rainfall," the weather service said.
