Denny Hecker: From private planes to 'Con Air'
Denny Hecker lived to work. The ex-Minnesota megadealer searched high and low for big deals to feed his ego and his sprawling empire. But Hecker's kingdom eventually came crashing down after he was sentenced to 10 years in prison for receiving more than $80 million in loans by forging documents. Hecker – who is now a free man at the age of 66 – on July 10 sat down for an exclusive interview with Automotive News Reporter Larry Vellequette in Minneapolis to discuss his tumultuous career, life behind bars and plan to ensure other retailers don't follow in his footsteps.
