Connecticut dealership Lee Partyka Chevrolet is entangled in a legal case for the second time in two months after its finance manager was charged with embezzling $80,000 from the store, the local police department said.
Jevene Wright, of Bridgeport, Conn., told customers at the Hamden, Conn., dealership to leave the "pay to the order" portion of their checks blank, according to a Hamden police news release, and filled in his name to deposit the checks into his personal bank account.
Police responded to a report of embezzlement at the store in November. After an investigation, Wright was arrested April 23 and charged with first-degree larceny. He was held on a $25,000 bond and arraigned later that day.
