Volvo Car USA unveiled special new-vehicle sales incentives in partnership with the Costco Auto Program late last week that mirror ones it offered last summer.
The latest incentives, which became available to Costco members nationwide beginning May 1, combine Volvo employee pricing, a $250 Costco Cash Card upon the purchase or lease of qualifying 2018 nameplates through July 2 and incentives of $3,000 for the Volvo S90, V90 and V90 Cross Country and $750 for the XC60 and XC90, the companies said in a press release.
In August through September 2017, Volvo and Costco had offered employee pricing, a $200 Costco Cash Card and either $3,000 for the S90 or $750 for most other Volvo nameplates.
Since 1989, the warehouse club's auto program has let its U.S. members get certificates guaranteeing specific discounted prices on vehicles from participating dealerships.
Last year's promotion resulted in more than 4,500 vehicle sales, a Costco spokeswoman said. In 2013, a Costco-Volvo joint promotional effort produced 7,500 vehicle sales, the companies said.
