CDK Global has acquired digital agency Progressus Media, provider of mobile advertising services for dealerships and automotive marketing companies, for an undisclosed amount -- a move that bolsters the software giant's advertising business.
The Progressus Media team will remain intact in Chicago as it merges the company with CDK's advertising unit over the next several weeks, CDK said in a statement.
Progressus "has been very focused on mobile media conversion and that's a real area of strength for them, particularly in social media," Jennifer Cole, vice president and general manager of CDK Advertising, told Automotive News. "They've spent more time building out their capabilities in the social space and it's really complementary to what we had already built at CDK."
Progressus' current technologies and products will complement CDK's automotive marketing portfolio in expediting growth in social media channels, specifically, through the integration of Progressus' Social Suite advertising technology — a set of tools used directly by dealers and agencies to manage social advertising.
The deal was completed earlier this month.
