TO THE EDITOR:
I respect the innovations and accomplishments of Elon Musk ("Musk must ask for help with Tesla — before it's too late," Nov. 27). While I'm not privy to where all of his business holdings are located, his companies employ many Americans, and that's something we can all be proud of.
I equally admire Musk's ability to market himself and Tesla. To proclaim you're going through "manufacturing hell" and have your potential customers think it's endearing? Now that's chutzpah! People truly do want what they can't have.
Finally, to burn through $1 billion per quarter, or $8,000 per minute? Anyone but Musk would be waving a white flag or contemplating leaving the country (planet).
As a wise person once said: Owe the bank $1 million, and they own you; owe the bank $1 billion, and you own the bank.
