Editor's note: An earlier version of this report erroneously stated Martin Chevrolet-Buick-GMC in Cleveland, Texas, was flooded. It has been corrected.
"No human casualties in the dealership community have been reported so that is a major blessing," Bill Wolters, president of the Texas Automobile Dealers Association, said in an email to Automotive News. "The damage and destruction so far has been limited to dealership and employee property according to the reports that we have received."
He said some stores have been completely flooded, including McRee Ford, Gay Buick-GMC and Gay Kia in Dickinson, Texas. Dickinson is about 30 miles south of Houston.
"Aransas Autoplex in Port Aransas, outside of Corpus Christi, has been demolished as has the dealer's home," Wolters said.
