In response to Richard Truett’s column “Why customers stray” (June 2017):
When I get my Toyota serviced at the dealership, my salesman always comes to the customer waiting area to say hi and chat. The service salesman and cashier thank me and are very courteous.
When I have my GMC Canyon serviced, the F&I person, salesmen and parts people never look up to recognize anyone. How about a “Hey, how are you?” even though they don’t know you?
What am I, chopped liver? Don’t service customers put money in the till also?
