GM's head of global philanthropy, corporate giving steps down

Jackie Parker, who was named director of global philanthropy and corporate giving for General Motors in fall 2015, is leaving the post, effective Tuesday.

Parker is stepping down to spend more time with her husband and family in Atlanta, said Terry Rhadigan, executive director, communications operations at GM.

There's a succession plan in place, he said, adding that Parker's replacement could be someone from within the company or outside of it.

GM expects to name Parker's successor in the next few months, Rhadigan said.

Until then, Lori Wingerter, senior manager, global corporate giving and vice president of the General Motors Foundation, will head up the car maker's global philanthropy and corporate giving.
