The next-generation Ford Focus, which will be built in China and exported to the U.S., is moving up in size.
Expected next year as a 2019 model, the car will be available in two body styles — a five-door hatchback and four-door sedan.
Seen here in spy photos, the redesigned Focus shows the larger footprint as well as styling that is very different from today's version. The large, flat doors could indicate they are made from aluminum, which would help cut weight. Heavy camouflaging around the grille makes it difficult to determine how much Moray Callum's design team tinkered with the trapezoidal grille. The rear doors and roofline show the biggest changes.
