Halton Honda of Burlington, Ontario, has housed an Assured intake center since 2014. "Anybody who comes in or calls us for body work, we direct them to Assured's office here on site," says Richard Bellm, the dealership's vice president.
"We stand behind their work, so if customers have a problem they can't sort out with Assured, they'll come to us," Bellm says. "It's a good arrangement."
Assured pays a monthly fee to occupy the office at the dealership, although Bellm would not say how much.
In addition, he says, the dealership sells a large volume of wholesale parts to several Assured body shops.
Bulbuck, in announcing the Assured purchase, said he was "not aware of any others that are using this [model] anywhere else, where customer-capture intake centers are at auto dealerships. Assured seems to have figured out the secret sauce for a business arrangement with dealerships that is creating a win-win."
"And we're going to look to try to leverage that secret sauce."
