If the corporate average fuel economy numbers for the future don't change, Keith Crain might be right about letting electric vehicles prove themselves without government subsidies ("It is time to pull the plug," April 24).
However, I suspect a bigger driver of the national debt will be the "subsidies" (tax cuts) for the wealthy and businesses. The trickle-down fiction has never worked and isn't likely to now. Let's end ALL subsidies.
