AutoNation will offer pay plans to new hires that include base pay, bonuses and commissions.
AutoNation Inc. will host a one-day hiring event in 15 cities next Tuesday, the dealership group said.
More than a thousand sales and service positions are available at the stores and service centers for “energetic folks,” said Marc Cannon, chief marketing officer at the nation’s largest new-vehicle retailer.
This is the first time AutoNation, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., has hosted a nationwide program.
The company will offer pay plans to new hires that include base pay, bonuses and commissions. It also will offer paid training, paid time off and flexible work schedules, AutoNation said in a statement on Wednesday.
AutoNation will hold the event in Atlanta; Houston, Dallas, Fort Worth and Austin, Texas; Baltimore; Broward County, Miami, Orlando and Tampa, Fla.; Denver; Phoenix; San Jose, Calif.; Las Vegas and Seattle.
Managers from stores in the participating markets will make offers at the hiring events. The new hires will start their positions Jan. 23, and those who are hired as sales associates will take AutoNation’s Sales Ignition course, a paid training program for associates to learn and enhance their selling chops, the statement said.
