Despite heavy camouflage, key elements of Volvo's current design language are visible on the next-generation XC60 spotted by spy photographers during testing in Sweden.
Elements such as the headlights, featuring Thor's hammer, tall taillights and an overall boxier look, are much like the XC90.
The XC60 will use Volvo's Scalable Product Architecture that is designed for gasoline engines as well as plug-in hybrid and electric powertrains. The architecture underpins the XC90 and S90.
The current XC60 was introduced in 2008. The next-gen XC60 is expected in 2017 or early 2018.
