Lexus has unveiled the first customized variant of its LC 500, a striking yellow makeover of the low-slung, rear-wheel-drive flagship coupe.
The handiwork of customizer Gordon Ting/Beyond Marketing debuted at the Specialty Equipment Market Association Show in Las Vegas. It features an Artisan Spirit Custom Lexus LC kit, which includes custom fender flares, a front diffuser, side skirts, a rear diffuser and a rear wing. Signature Autobody wrapped the car in a gloss yellow and it rides on satin charcoal, 22-inch wheels with Brembo brakes.
Evasive Motorsports tuned the interior, inserting carbon fiber Sparco race seats and a safety cage. Club DSPORT upgraded the regular engine, increasing displacement to 5.6-liters, up from 5.0, and 525 hp, up from 471.
The LC 500 started as an early prototype with no accessory or aftermarket support, Lexus said. The body kit, performance suspension and brake kit found on the customized version could be on the market in spring 2017 when the LC 500 goes on sale.
The production LC 500 is set to start at nearly $100,000 and is based on the LF-LC concept coupe.
