He said there was no damage to his inventory or stores.
Case said he sold more generators from his Rick Case Honda Powerhouse Store on Wednesday than he had all year. But as sales slow down in the southeastern Florida area, he said, he is diverting the generators -- en route by Honda delivery trucks -- to those who may need them in northern Florida and on the coast of Georgia and South Carolina.
Dyer Auto Group has four stores in Vero Beach and Fort Pierce, Fla. Ray Saez, the digital media coordinator for the stores, said the stores appear to be fine with no damaged windows or vehicles but they are without power.
Saez said the stores will be closed today and possibly Saturday, depending on power.
As the storm moves north, calls were made to the auto dealers associations in Georgia and South Carolina but were not immediately returned.
