The BMW brand beat out Ford in the August Twitter engagement race after Ford won four straight months since Automotive News started tracking the data in May.
Chevrolet grabbed second place, while Ford came in third. Audi ranked fourth, and Toyota rounded out the top five, ListenFirst Media reported.
ListenFirst analyzes the conversations about brands and vehicles on Twitter by aggregating conversations about manufacturers and models and engagement directly attributed to their Twitter accounts, or owned engagement. ListenFirst then calculates the stats for total engagement to find and rank the “share of voice” each company earned.
