To the Editor:
Regarding the story "Sting like a bee" (June 13): It sounded like someone was offended by Chevy's ad pointing out the flaws in the Ford F-150's aluminum bed.
This is the real world, and Ford and Chevy have been duking it out since inception. The ad is brilliant, and whoever figured it out should get a bonus.
As for those who thought it was an act of desperation, nothing could be further from the truth. There isn't a Chevy dealer around who wouldn't take more Silverados if he could get them.
We are all big boys and girls out here, and this a fiercely competitive business. If the ad is offensive, you are in the wrong line of work.
