Robert Vackar, CEO of Bert Ogden Auto Group in McAllen, Texas, in the Rio Grande Valley donated $15 million to the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley to establish an endowment benefiting the school’s business college, which has been renamed the Robert C. Vackar College of Business and Entrepreneurship in his honor. It is the largest donation in the history of the university.
