Thanks to Jesse Snyder for his Dec. 7 column, "Go above and beyond on safety."
One thought that would put all manufacturers on a fair, competitive level is a Vision Zero goal for crash deaths and serious injuries in new vehicles in, say, a decade.
If in a decade we could put people on the moon and bring them back alive using 1960s technologies, we should be able in a decade to put people on the roads and bring them back alive using 21st century technologies.
