Jaguar will use James Bond-like cinematic flair to help pitch its aluminum-based XE sedan beginning this fall, and place drivers in the middle of the virtual action.
Seizing on the brand's prominent appearances in the next Bond film, Jaguar is sending the XE on its seven-city Art of Performance Tour, during which test drivers can maneuver the car on closed courses. The test drives will be filmed, and then dressed up with special effects using green-screen technology, to produce exciting filmed action sequences that the drivers can share on social media.
The tour kicks off in Los Angeles, during the auto show in November and ahead of the XE's expected U.S. launch in the spring. Jaguar's 2016-17 lineup, including the freshly unveiled F-Pace, will be on display.
