SAN FRANCISCO -- Not only will the Tesla Model X crossover come with upward-opening falcon wing doors, it also has a windshield so large that it doubles as a moonroof, new images show.
With the first deliveries of the all-electric Model X scheduled for Sept. 29 at Tesla's factory in Fremont, Calif., the company invited a few customers to configure cars last week. Some shared the marketing materials at the Tesla Motors Club online forum.
The images appear to show a panoramic windshield that stretches above the driver's head for a wide-open view of road and sky. Unable to mount the sun visors overhead, Tesla seems to have placed them above the side windows.
