Getting the luxury treatment at Porsche's Experience Center
More than 30 instructors, including former race car drivers, work at the center, with access to some 80 Porsche cars and crossovers. Dealers can buy discounted gift cards to reward loyal customers or customize a program for a group.
The 1.6-mile Atlanta track includes a handling course, low-friction circle and an off-road course constructed in part from debris left behind when an old Ford plant on the site was razed years ago.
The modules are designed for both fun and to help customers improve their driving skills. The track’s kick plate, for instance, pushes a car to the side, and the driver must figure out how to quickly recover.
Hennessy Porsche North Atlanta is one of two Porsche dealerships in metro Atlanta. On Aug. 21, it held its second party at the experience center since the venue opened. About 75 customers ate, drank, viewed classic Porsches and took spins on the track in 911 Turbos, GT3s and GT4s driven by the center’s professional instructors.
In addition to the track, the complex includes a museum, restoration center, custom design studio, driving simulators, gym and fine-dining restaurant. Here, a vintage Porsche at the center's museum.
