Estimated North American car and truck production in June rose 4.6 percent from a year earlier to 1,608,369. It was the 47th consecutive month for production to exceed 1 million units.
Car production rose 0.1 percent in the U.S., 6.5 percent in Canada and 4.8 percent in Mexico. North American car output increased 2.2 percent.
Truck output climbed 5.7 percent in the U.S., 0.2 percent in Canada and 16.4 percent in Mexico. North American truck production grew 6.3 percent.
Vehicle output rose 3.6 percent in the U.S., 2.6 percent in Canada and 9.5 percent in Mexico.
Vehicle output for the first half of 2015 increased 1.2 percent in the U.S. and 9.8 percent in Mexico, but fell 6.8 percent in Canada. Total North American production in the first six months rose 1.7 percent to an estimated 9,055,854 units.
