ATLANTA — Cathy Ellis, owner of Atlanta Classic Cars, died here March 16. She was 71.
She began in the finance department at John Ellis Chevrolet in Memphis, Tenn., owned by her father.
She became general manager of the family’s Volkswagen store in Peoria, Ill. In 1988, she became general manager of Atlanta Classic Cars, a Mercedes-Benz dealership, then took ownership in 1990 after her father’s death.
Ellis also had a stake in Boulevard Motors in St. Louis and owned Infiniti of Memphis.
