Early appraisals of Lincoln's Continental Concept? Pleasingly positive. The new sedan debuted at the New York auto show last week and previews a production model coming next year. Here's a sampling of car mag consideration.
"Yes, this thing is rad. ... The monochromatic blue-over-blue Continental Concept show car looks killer in person. Look, Woody, chrome everywhere."
-- Road & Track
"From the rear, it's aces. We especially like the quad exhaust with asymmetrical outer tips. The front end screams Jag-ura, with its RLX-style headlamps and XE/XJ-mimicking grille. While it's a better look than the prior treatment, it's more Euro-Japanese derivative than we'd like to see from an American brand. We do, however, love the peaked hood."
------ Car and Driver
"The concept impresses with sculpted haunches and a rakish profile."
-- Motor Trend
"It's a marked departure from Cadillac's playbook of German-style sport sedans. ... The Continental Concept also does a good job of distancing itself from today's Lincolns."
"It's exactly the car that everyone has been saying Lincoln should build."
