We pay very close attention to the three-way sales race involving Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Lexus, but so far this year, there's been a lot of action in the second-tier luxury realm -- namely, Audi, Cadillac, Acura and Infiniti.
Last year was notable because Audi outsold Cadillac for the first time -- and also moved ahead of Acura.
But in the first two months of 2015, Acura has shot out ahead of both brands. Cadillac is back in front of Audi, though not by much compared with the lead it held over the German brand in January and February of 2014.
The real mover is Infiniti, which was up 20 percent last month and has improved 14 percent for the year, pulling much closer to its luxury rivals.
