Here's a riddle: What do Volkswagen and Icelandic musician Bjork have in common? Not much, but that's what makes it art.
VW has sponsored New York's Museum of Modern Art since 2011. This year, VW is helping to make some art for MoMA: an interactive soundscape for an exhibit on Bjork's three-decade career.
The exhibit, slated to run from Sunday, March 8, to June 7, uses a technology called "Sound Journey" crafted at VW's laboratory in Silicon Valley.
In a car, the music changes with the speed of the car and the angle of the steering wheel. In the Bjork exhibit, music responds to each patron's path and head movements.
If you find yourself with a few hours to spare during the New York auto show in April, make your way to MoMA and check it out.
