We are looking for powerful women in the auto industry. One hundred of them.
On Nov. 9, Automotive News will publish a special section, 100 Leading Women in the North American Auto Industry.
Candidates must be in a senior position of substantial responsibility and have had a major positive effect on their company's operations.
The list of leading women mainly will comprise those in engineering, manufacturing, finance and marketing at automakers and suppliers. Auto dealers also will be included.
Lawyers, consultants and regulators are ineligible.
The project is being done in conjunction with Deloitte.
We will profile the 100 leading women in the Nov. 9 special section.
That evening, we will honor them at a reception and awards ceremony at the Max M. Fisher Music Center in Detroit.
Automotive News has published lists of 100 leading women three times before, in 2000, 2005 and 2010.
Please let us know by March 6 whom we should consider this time by filling out a simple nomination form. The form and the previous lists of leading women are at autonews.com/ leadingwomen.
Nominees will receive an email with a link to a survey form they must complete.
