BMW has freshened all three of its 6-series variants that will debut next month at the Detroit auto show and go on sale in the second quarter of 2015.
The two-door coupe and convertible and the four-door Gran Coupe with coupelike styling are niche vehicles for BMW.
But the head-turning designs have made them halos for the German brand.
The engine lineup remains unchanged: 640i models get a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six that makes 315 hp, and 650i models get a twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V-8 that generates 445 hp.
The M6 high-performance variant gets a twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V-8 that makes 560 hp.
The cars get a new grille with nine vertical bars, rather than 10, and other cosmetic touches.
The standard adaptive full-LED front headlights have been changed.
Other cosmetic changes include new trim for the Gran Coupe.
