Mini is showing a concept electric scooter called the Citysurfer Concept at the Los Angeles auto show. The foldable scooter weighs 40 pounds and can be put into the trunk of the Cooper Hardtop.
Mini is pitching it as ideal for urban areas and a way to get from the parking lot or public transportation to a commuter’s final destination.
The scooter is powered by a lithium ion battery in the frame and can be charged from a car’s 12-volt socket or an electric outlet. Range is 10 to 15 miles.
No word on whether Mini will build the scooter.
