AutoNation is jumping into college football in search of a cure.
The country's largest dealership group will sponsor the AutoNation Cure Bowl in Orlando, a new bowl game debuting Dec. 19, 2015, on CBS and benefiting the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. It will feature teams from the American Athletic and Sun Belt conferences.
The sponsorship -- its cost was not disclosed -- is about more than marketing, AutoNation CEO Mike Jackson said.
"When you combined it with our national cause of fighting cancer and a respected research fund and a college football bowl in one of our major markets, then I said, 'I like that. We should do it.'"
