It's pothole season, and that helps sell tire-and-wheel policies, says Kelly French, business manager for Graff Chevrolet in Mount Pleasant, Mich.
"I'm definitely taking advantage of the horrible potholes we are starting to endure in Michigan," she says.
To illustrate the benefits of tire-and-wheel plans to customers, French got a couple of repair orders from the dealership's service department and clipped newspaper stories about how the potholes are "the worst ever" this year.
The result? She was "three for three" in selling a tire-and-wheel plan to her last three customers, she says.
