The closely watched vote by Volkswagen workers in Tennessee has attracted attention from national third-party union supporters and opponents, who have blanketed Chattanooga in recent weeks with billboards, radio spots and other messages. The Center for Worker Freedom, a project of the anti-tax group Americans for Tax Reform, has placed 13 billboards in Chattanooga. VW employees and their backers are also tapping social media to support the proposed UAW-VW partnership, and flooding the Twittersphere.
