DETROIT -- Vice President Joe Biden and three members of President Obama’s Cabinet are set to attend the Detroit auto show next week.
Biden is expected to attend the show on Wednesday, Jan. 15. He also attended the show in 2007 as a U.S. senator from Delaware.
Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx, EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy and Commerce Secretary Penny Pritzker also are scheduled to attend, The Detroit News reported today. Also expected to visit the show is David Strickland, outgoing administrator of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
The newspaper reported Foxx will open the show press preview on Monday and that Pritzker will tour the show and speak to the Detroit Economic Club on Wednesday.
Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder annually tours the show and is expected to do so again.
