Superior Industries International Inc. said Steven Borick will retire as CEO and president effective March 31, 2014, but will remain chairman of the aluminum wheel maker.
The company's board has launched a search to replace Borick, 61.
He has been CEO since 2005 and chairman since 2007, and he plans to assist with the management transition, the Van Nuys, Calif., company said Monday.
In a statement, Borick said he is stepping down to have more time for personal interests, "including philanthropic activities."
Superior ranks No. 66 on the Automotive News list of top 100 North American suppliers with $822 million in parts sales to automakers in North America in 2012.
