FRANKFURT -- Want to glimpse the future of Buick and Opel design? It's easy, says General Motors global design chief Ed Welburn: Take a picture of the Opel Monza concept, shown here last week, and set it beside the Buick Riviera concept shown at the Shanghai auto show in the spring.
"You see a lot of similarity in wheel design, interior design, the flowing exterior shapes," Welburn said at the auto show. "It kind of shows you the bandwidth of what the two brands can do together. You think of the Riviera as the most premium end of it, and the Monza as the sportiest end."
