Nissan dealers have given the franchise a poor report card just as a new management team takes over.
Former Ram Truck CEO Fred Diaz, brand new to his job as U.S. vice president of Nissan Division, and Jose Munoz, Nissan's newly installed senior vice president of sales and marketing for the Americas, have gotten an earful about falling franchise values and uncompetitive products.
According to the National Automobile Dealers Association's most recent Dealer Attitude Survey, Nissan dealers say that Nissan's sales incentives programs have been unfair and that their input is not being considered in factory plans.
"This was not a good survey report for Nissan in any area," reads NADA's report on the survey, which is distributed to all dealers who participated in it.
"Scores were down almost across the board, but particularly so in the value section."
