Since 1951, Pininfarina has designed all Ferrari production cars except the 1973 Dino 308 GT4, which was done by Bertone. But the LaFerrari that debuted at the Geneva auto show this month was styled entirely in-house, and that got tongues wagging. Is the historic Italian partnership on the rocks?
So why the change? Well, Pininfarina did propose a version of LaFerrari, but lost out to Ferrari's in-house team. Ferrari CEO Amedeo Felisa says his company went with its own design because of technical and aerodynamic advantages.
