Looking for a special holiday gift for the exotic car lover on your shopping list?
Neiman Marcus is featuring 12 special-edition red 2013 McLaren 12C Spiders -- priced at $354,000 -- as part of its 2012 Christmas catalog.
The luxury retailer says the 12 supercars offer "heart-pounding race car performance with a ride akin to an executive's saloon car."
The price -- about $85,750 above a standard Spider -- includes a business-class flight to England to dine with the chairman of the exotic carmaker.
They go on sale by phone Oct. 24, the retailer said today.
The base Spider, which starts at $268,250, including shipping, is a version of the MP4-12C, with a 616-hp V-8 twin-turbo engine; butterfly doors; carbon-fiber composite chassis; Formula One "brake steer," which helps maintain stability during cornering by braking the inside rear wheel; Seamless Shift Gearbox technology, which aims to deliver near-instant, smooth gear shifts; and active aerodynamics.
The volcano red convertible also comes with a three-day trip to England in February for a dinner with McLaren Chairman Ron Dennis, and a tour of the McLaren Technology Center.
For each sale, Neiman Marcus will donate $3,000 to Big Brothers Big Sisters, a national charity focused on mentoring children. The purchase also includes a Neiman Marcus luggage set.
Prices exclude taxes, title, destination charges and registration fees, the retailer said.
Delivery will occur in early 2013.
The Spider made its Detroit debut in August.
