DETROIT -- Sunroof supplier Webasto Roof Systems, Inc. appointed Erik Roeren president and CEO.
Roeren, 49, was most recently executive vice president of operations for the company's sunroofs and components unit.
He succeeds Brett Healy, who had been president and CEO of Webasto Roof Systems since 2008.
Before his role as EVP, Roeren served as president and CEO of Webasto-Edscha Cabrio USA, Inc., formerly Karmann USA, of suburban Detroit, a producer of convertible parts. He held that position from 2007 to 2011, and before that he served in several senior management positions at Arvin Meritor.
"As we continue to move toward a more global structure, Erik Roeren's deep and relevant international experience will help us solidify close worldwide cooperation," Dr. Holger Engelmann, deputy chairman of the management board of Webasto Group, said in a statement. "This will strengthen Webasto Roof Systems to deliver the highest quality in North America and for the global customer programs."
