Don Stephenson, director of Audi of America Inc.’s Southern region, has been named Volkswagen of America’s director of VW brand aftersales effective Sunday July 1, the automaker said today.
Stephenson, 56, will be responsible for overseeing the brand’s parts, accessories and service programs. He also will be in charge of improving the brand’s parts and accessories market share while increasing service retention.
He will report to VW Group of America CEO Jonathan Browning.
Stephenson has worked for VW of America since 2005 when he became Audi’s Southern region director. Audi sales in Puerto Rico and the 16 states that Stephenson oversaw have increased 71 percent since he took the job while its market share has grown 118 percent, Audi said.
Pete Hamilton, Audi’s general manager for Southern regional operations, will become director of the region.
