Two extended-service contract administrators that already had the same owner are merging to form a new company and brand: Allegiance Administrators.
The two companies, both in Dublin, Ohio, are Dimension Service Corp. and National Administrative Service Co. Pre-merger, their finance and insurance products have been sold separately to dealers across the country via independent agents.
"We had two separate companies with two different sets of internal groups addressing the needs of each, such as two unique dealer service groups, two separate customer assistance groups, etc.," said Bill Gilman, executive vice president for sales and marketing.
The merger is immediate, with complete integration of the companies expected by year end.
The combined company does business with about 2,000 dealers, a majority of which are franchised, new-vehicle dealers, Gilman said.
The bulk of the business is extended-service contracts and mechanical breakdown insurance. Gilman said a growing lineup of aftermarket products includes sealants and window tinting.
