AKEBONO BRAKE CORP. -- Kanji Miyajima to CEO.
Miyajima succeeds Kazuo Matsumoto, who becomes assistant head of the manufacturing division at Akebono Brake Industry Co.'s global headquarters in Hanyu City, Saitama Prefecture in Japan.
Miyajima most recently was executive vice president for finance, administration and information technology for Akebono Brake Corp., the suburban Detroit headquarters of Akebono's North American operations.
In addition, David Wheeler becomes vice president of administration for Akebono Brake Corp.
He had been an operations executive for Akebono's brake factory in Columbia, S.C.
