Ram will add a luxury-trim version to its lineup of light- and heavy-duty pickup trucks.
The Laramie Limited will feature premium materials such as full-leather seating, piano-black interior components and understated exterior badging -- in contrast to the Southwestern-themed Ram Laramie Longhorn-edition pickup.
The Laramie Limited will debut at the Chicago Auto Show next week and will arrive in dealerships in the second quarter of 2012. Pricing has not been released.
The 1500 light-duty pickup will get body-colored front fascia with fog lamps and a matching painted rear bumper. The 2500 and 3500 heavy-duty pickups in white and silver will get chromed front and rear bumpers plus chromed grille surrounds, body-side molding, mirrors, door handles and tubular side steps.
Inside, the Laramie Limited features a full-leather cockpit, leather-wrapped steering wheel and shifter and leather door trim. The gauge cluster is accented with chromed rings that evoke a high-end gentleman's watch and includes the imprinted message: Designed in Detroit.
The trim level also gets exclusive rear flap-closure seat back map pockets with chromed metal buckles emblazoned with the Ram name.
The Laramie Limited is equipped with a navigational radio, remote start, backup camera, power adjustable pedals with memory, heated steering wheel, front ventilated and heated seats, and rear heated seats.
