WATERFORD, Mich. -- Wally Albers, a physicist who had a long career at General Motors, died Dec. 18. He was 81.
Albers worked in research at GM from 1962 through 1992 and retired as the director of societal analysis. He was a member of many professional societies, including SAE, the Engineering Society of Detroit and the Institute for Management Science. He also served on the Communications Standards Committee of the Transportation Research Board.
