LOS ANGELES -- Fisker Automotive has named former Ford executive Richard Beattie to steer global sales and marketing for the fledgling plug-in hybrid-car company.
Beattie today was named to the new post of chief commercial officer for Fisker as the company prepares for the international launch of the Karma sedan.
Beattie, 57, was formerly responsible for sales and marketing at Jaguar Land Rover North America from 2002 to 2007, before being named executive vice president of marketing and sales with Jaguar North America in 2009.
Earlier in his career, Beattie was vice president of marketing, sales, and service at Lincoln Mercury, and held top management posts with Ford of Europe and Mazda Motor Corp.'s North American operations.
Beattie will report to Fisker CEO Henrik Fisker, alongside COO Bernhard Koehler and CFO Joe DaMour.
