TANGIERS, Morocco -- The Packard Electric division of Delphi Automotive will open a wire harness factory in Tangiers, Morocco, to serve customers in Europe and North Africa.
The 269,000-square-foot plant, which will employ 1,000 workers, will open in February.
This is the second Delphi facility in Morocco. Its Delphi Chassis Systems division operates a plant near Casablanca.
Delphi Automotive, of suburban Detroit, ranks No. 12 on the Automotive News list of the top 100 global suppliers with worldwide parts sales to automakers of $13.82 billion in 2010.
