DETROIT -- Christina Rogers has joined Automotive News as a staff reporter. She will cover Volkswagen Group of America as well as industrywide regulatory and legislative issues.
Rogers, 32, will be posted in Detroit until mid-2012 when she will move to the newspaper's office in Washington.
Rogers comes from The Detroit News, where she was a reporter for 3 1/2 years. For the past year, she was responsible for covering General Motors. Before that, she was a reporter at The Roanoke Times in Roanoke, Va., and The New York Sun.
Her reporting has been honored with several awards including, most recently, the 2010 Michigan AP Editorial Association award for team coverage of GM's initial public offering.
